2009 - December 12, Disaster Response Training at Pipestone SDA Church

The end times are coming and disasters will increase. Get trained and certified as a volunteer for Adventist Disaster Response. Bob Hilde of Maple Plain church and Les Morrison of Minnetonka church will be certifying volunteers in “Donations Operations”. Volunteers will gain the skills to collect, organize, and distribute donated goods in times of disaster. Training costs $30.00 and includes ACS/DR handbook, t-shirt, and badge id.

When? Saturday, December 12 from 4:30 to 9:00 pm. Light supper will be served.
Trainer bios:
Bob Hilde of Hutchinson church, is the Volunteer Adventist Community Services / Disaster Response (ACS/DR) leader for the MN Conference and is a certified trainer. Bob's passion is to serve others in the name of Christ. He has recently managed ACS/DR warehouses in response to the Hugo, MN tornado, Parkersburg, IA tornado, Iowa / Midwest flooding, and Moorhead Distribution Depot in response to the Red River Valley flood.
Les Morrison of Minnetonka church is the co-chair of the MN Community Services Federation, a certified ACS/DR trainer, and the Director of Community Services for Minnetonka church. Les goes out of his way to serve people in Christ’s name. Les was able to respond to the Hugo, MN tornado and assisted in the management of the Moorhead Distribution Depot in response to the Red River Valley flood. Les has also coordinated exciting Community Service projects, such as the Extreme Home Makeover project in 2007.
