Please type the news you want to share in the Minnesota Conference.

When sending stories, please remember these basics:

  1. There is a difference between news and devotional writing. Rather than sharing a moral lesson, news grabs first attention and then gets right to the point with the famous Five Ws: Who, What, Where, When, Why.
  2. The best news is missional: creative outreach and nurture stories. Some idea in such a story can help revitalize a church anywhere in the union.
  3. Anything schools are doing in creative outreach and nurture is especially inspiring.
  4. Send photos! The more emotion and excitement the better. Stay away from the worn out man-in-the-pulpit pictures, or the typical ground-breaking picture with a bunch of men in suits lined up like birds on a telephone wire.
  5. Please send pictures with sufficient resolution--at least 5 MB, if possible.
  6. Tighten up the text, boil it down like maple syrup to expand the size of photos. One good photo is better than several smaller photos.
